Register for a booth at Alt Ed Austin’s FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2026!
Alt Ed Austin is proud to showcase our community’s wonderfully unconventional learning environments. This year’s Festival of Learning coincides with Valentine’s Day and will celebrate our LOVE of learning! As always, the event will feature more informational and activity booths than ever, hosted from 10am to 1pm by innovative learner-centered K–12 schools, preschools, after-school programs, and other educational organizations serving all ages. Please read on for more details and click to register at the bottom of this page.
The event is free for the public to attend and affordable for small schools and organizations to participate in. Thanks to our generous sponsors, VELA and Mueller Austin, we are able to offer the same sliding-scale fee based on your enrollment as last year, with rates starting at $160 for the smallest programs and capped at $640 for the largest. Your booth fees will help pay for the large, popular venue and a strategic advertising and media campaign to build strong attendance.
The Pavilion is adjacent to Branch Park and surrounded by local eateries, coffee houses, etc. It is completely enclosed, but the glass walls can be opened up in nice weather. Photo credits: Lawrence Group; Kathryn Ingram.
We’re happy to confirm that the Festival will be held again at the beautiful Branch Park Pavilion in the Mueller neighborhood (2201 Aldrich St, Austin, TX 78723). It is a fully enclosed, light-filled venue that is completely covered by a soaring roof. The glass walls can be opened up in nice weather for an open-air effect. The site is familiar to the hundreds of people who visit the Texas Farmers’ Market there every Sunday. Easy, affordable parking is available in 3 public garages within 2 blocks, along with additional paid and limited free parking on surrounding streets. The Pavilion and park are in the middle of Mueller’s popular Aldrich Street business district, where festival-goers can grab breakfast, lunch, coffee, or treats. We expect spontaneous pedestrian traffic to our event from the many families who frequent the area on weekends in addition to the planned attendance generated by our multimedia outreach efforts.
Register soon! Booth spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A few notes to keep in mind before you register below:
On the day of the event, please arrive between 8:45am and 9:15am to set up your booth, and be ready to interact with attendees starting at 10am. As March 1st approaches, we’ll provide maps and instructions for unloading vehicles pre-event, parking during the event, and reloading post-event.
Please keep your booth open until our official ending time of 1pm; after that, you may begin breaking down your booth; everyone must be cleaned up and out of the Pavilion by 2:30pm.
Your registration for the Alt Ed Austin Festival of Learning guarantees you an indoor booth space measuring 10 feet x 10 feet.
Your booth space will include a standard table (6 feet long x 30 inches wide) and 2 chairs provided at no extra cost. (We can remove those items from your booth if you prefer not to use them.)
Please bring your own table coverings.
You may bring additional seating and/or other furnishings, with your entire booth setup not to exceed 10 feet by 10 feet.
You may also bring a pop-up canopy if you’d like, not to exceed 10 feet x 10 feet. This is purely optional, a way to demarcate and/or decorate your space.
Any banners or other signage must either hang from your table, sit atop your table, hang from your pop-up canopy (if you choose to bring one), or stand on the ground next to your table without impeding access or views to other booths. (No attaching things to walls, floors, or pillars is allowed by the venue.)
A limited number of booth spaces will have access to electrical outlets. If you need one of these, please indicate this on your registration form. We may not be able to accommodate everyone, so please don’t ask for electricity if you don’t really intend to use it for your display or activities.
You will find more details for participating organizations in the booth registration form and in follow-up emails as the festival date nears.
We are listing registered schools/organizations on a public-facing Festival webpage, and we will highlight participating organizations and what to expect at their booths on a Facebook Event page and other social media.
